About Me
Hello, I’m Gary, movie trailer editor and producer. Trained in broadcast television I worked as an on-air promo producer for HBO Central Europe and Sony Pictures Television. Moving towards to cinematic trailer production, I’ve founded my creative agency Monoplane Movie Trailer. My works gained international recognition such as Academy Award®-Qualification and the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. Currently I work as a producer and editor for Monoplane Films in Budapest, Europe.
I create promos. I’ve been working as a writer producer and promo producer for movie channels like HBO, Cinemax, Sony Pictures Television, AXN and Animax in the Central European region. My job was showcasing and promoting the program of the channels via sometimes funny, sometimes scary on-air promos, image spots, and trailers along with branding the channels. I did this for about seven years.
The power of creative freedom. It’s called Monoplane. I’ve produced more and more theatrical trailers for short and feature films, for Hollywood blockbusters and indie films including Academy-Award® Qualified short film Family on Board. I also worked with game designers and created action-packed game trailers for Nexon and other developers. I designed trailers for The Urban Legend comic book series in collaboration with organizations dedicated to societal change including The Nobel Peace Center.
Sport, education and technology. Spending more than 15 years in the edit suite drove me to move out, grab the camera, build a crew and produce the footage I enjoy working with. This is how Smart Promo Video was born. The films we make here are for promotional purpose as well but with the idea of creating videos for valuable projects, supporting sport, education and sustainability. This is how I got involved into various film productions fo 21 Draw University, SuperMemo World and ADCC.
Original content production is the future. I recently started a music documentary series and working on my new short film. I enjoy creative planning and the developments of good ideas transforming them into brand films or promo videos. I graduated as a screenwriter in the Central European University, storytelling, editing and production walk hand in hand in my head. I’m working in my studio near Budapest, Europe. Besides Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, PhotoShop and After Effects, paper and pencil are still my best friends.
